VGchartz has it over tracked. NPD leaks revealed it had sold 120k combined in NA.

The NPD figures are up to the 4th or 5th of October I believe.

The NPD figures are indeed up to 4th of October and FH2 < 120K in US.
It is overtracked.

According to leaks, FH2 only sold ~120k on both consoles combined.

@Welfare... the report says 176,995 in the US... thats an extra 50k out of nowhere.

Yeah, but something seems off though. 3 weeks later and the Xbox One leaderboards have 500k+ people on them. Minus the rentals, lendings, and used game sales, that suggests that the Xbox One version has sold somewhere between 350k and 400k since release. Testing showed that the Xbox One leaderboards didn't include the demo leaderboards. Pretty sure it doesn't include the 360 version's leaderboards either, since the Xbox One and 360 versions have several gameplay differences that would make shared leaderboards inconsistent (races in different locations for instance). I don't see how that many people could have bought the since release if it only sold 120k combined first week. Digital sales usually aren't more than 50% of retail sales, and second week sales are usually 60-75% less than first week sales. Maybe VGC has the US overtracked and Europe undertracked?

@Skika There is Europe and the ROTW. That's where the other sales are. My comment was about the US number.

@Welfare Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, VGC must have Europe and Rest of the World undertracked first week, assuming that the NPD leaks were right. But you never what you can trust as far as leaks go.

You can't take leaderboards as sale data. Alot of people share there console with family members. So could be 1 copy of the game and 2 or 3 accounts on the system that have played the game.

Why post this after NPD?

Blood_Tears (on 21 October 2014)

Overtracked..

binary solo (on 21 October 2014)

The article carries the implication that the hardware increase is due to FH2, when in fact it is due to China. Without China hw would have dropped week on week.

Turkish (on 21 October 2014)

OVER TRACKED. Only 120K combined in America, where does the other 250K sales come from, Europe?? lol and yeah I know racing is more popular in europe but the console isn't

segizak (on 21 October 2014)

Aham....and does NPD take digital copies in consideration too??

EyeAmTJ (on 21 October 2014)
