Forza Horizon 2 Sells 366K First Week, Xbox One Sales up 25% - News

The Microsoft first party title Forza Horizon 2 launched with sales of 366,457 units combined. The game is available for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The majority of the sales were on the Xbox One where it sold 265,969 units. The game sold 100,488 units on the Xbox 360.

Nearly half of the sales were in the USA where it sold 176,995 units combined. The game also sold well in Europe with sales of 138,260 units.

The Xbox One also saw an increase in sales for the week. The console sold 179,014 units worldwide, which is a 25 percent increase week-on-week.

Forza Horizon 2 launched for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 30 in North America and October 3 in Europe.

VGchartz has it over tracked. NPD leaks revealed it had sold 120k combined in NA.

Can't even imagine how is it possible to be such a retard.... FH2 was launched 30th september, those 120k units are the ones sold in september... so FH2 only sold during one only day in the whole month.

VgChartz could actually be right (it is talking about game's first week).

You can't take leaderboards as sale data. Alot of people share there console with family members. So could be 1 copy of the game and 2 or 3 accounts on the system that have played the game.

The article carries the implication that the hardware increase is due to FH2, when in fact it is due to China. Without China hw would have dropped week on week.

look at it this way when u split the numbers for each system would u call 150,000 for a known ip fh2 sold 150,000 on x1 does that really look good to u. fh2 sold 150,000 on 360 , does that look good to u. no.

xbox is and wii u are bringing out the games and featre while ps4 is done nothing, they are just riding the sales adn hype since e3, quite sad really
