Xbox One vs Wii U – VGChartz Gap Charts – June 2014 Update

XOne Vs. Wii U Global:

Gap change in latest month: 33,462 – Wii U

Gap change over last 12 months: n/a

Total Lead: 1,741,738 – Wii U

Xbox One Total Sales: 4,845,340

Wii U Total Sales: 6,587,078

In June 2014 the Wii U managed to increase its gap over the Xbox One, despite the release of the Kinect-less Xbox One for $399. The gap increased by 33,462 units. The Wii U currently leads by 1,741,738 units.

The Xbox One launched in North America and Europe on November 22. The Wii U launched in November 2012. The Wii U has sold 6,587,078 units to date, while the Xbox One has sold 4,845,340 units.

This graph is upside down. If WiiU is leading shouldn't the gap show the number of units MORE WiiU has sold? Not the number of units LESS the XB has sold?

On July Wii U will sell more.
Even in Augost.
On September and October XBOX ONE will sell more.
I don't know November...
On December Wii U will sell more.

That makes sense. November will be interesting because of Black Friday and Smash Bros. August could see another big jump for WiiU if Wii Sports Club retail picks up.
