PS4 is dominating, makes more sense to compare to PS2. Common VGC! I know you used to track PS2 sales!

The PS2 only was available in Japan for the first ~7 month, so a comparison with the PS4 is even harde

As Mr. D'Angelo pointed out, the gap narrowed in Month 5 because the PS3 didn't launch in Europe until March 2007. It's also worth pointing out that the gap widened in Month 4 because the PS4 came out in Japan in February. This is why we need regional breakdowns of this data to better account for different regions often having different release months for some systems. Mr. D'Angelo really needs to make charts for Europe, North America, and Japan as well, not just global sales. Context is important. That being said, the PS4 is performing much, much better than the PS3 did in both North America and Europe. It had the best launch of any system ever plus so far this year it's already selling nearly on par with the PS2.

Wow, I would really love to see PS2 numbers VS PS4 but 4 million more than PS3! That's a freaking ton.

GameAnalyser (on 22 April 2014)

Okay this pace should keep up and could bring in domination.

PS4 dominating Also, here's a typo: "February 2014 is the fifth month the PlayStation 4 is on sale."
