by William D'Angelo , posted on 04 April 2014 / 5,658 ViewsHi-Rez Studios, the free-to-play developer, is expanding its headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia by 4,000 square feet. They are also hiring 30 new employees. In total the company is investing $10 million in jobs and offices.
"Digital gaming requires technical talent, creative talent, and an entrepreneurial climate," said COO Todd Harris. "We have experienced continued growth in Georgia, thanks to a great talent pool, high quality of life and low cost of doing business."
Hi-Rez Studios is known for the Tribe franchise, as well as SMITE. The independent developer was founded in 2005 by Erez Goren and Todd Harris

Nice seeing a story about a studio expanding instead of shedding jobs, for a change.
And long may they stay independent! Though if Smite does really well I can see one of the big publishers eating them up. Smite is great, and lots of fun and it runs on pretty basic hardware (like my laptop that doesn't even have a graphics card) so it's very accessible.
I've always thought so too. I would probably stick to playing it on PC but I'd love to see Smite get more publicity. It is a fantastic game.
