The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation, as well as comparing the 8th generation consoles. All sales are worldwide.
PS4 Vs. Wii U Global:
Gap change in latest month: 1,211,964 – PS4
Gap change over last 12 months: n/a
Total Lead: 958,246 – Wii U
PS4 Total Sales: 4,382,474
Wii U Total Sales: 5,340,720
In its second month on sale the PlayStation 4 closed the gap by a good margin. The PlayStation 4 is now 1.21 million units closer to the Wii U. The Wii U currently leads by 958,246 units. However, the PlayStation 4 is on track to pass the Wii U in the next few months.
The PlayStation 4 launched in North America and Europe in November. The PlayStation 4 launched on November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe. The Wii U launched in November a year ago.

The future is looking bright for the PS4, let's hope Nintendo can make their Wii U more appealing for the market so it can sell well by the end of the year
So if the PS4 can continue strong sales over the Wii-U, it should be able to pass within the next 1 to 2 months.
Should have done this as a weekly thing for now. 1 solid line looks really silly.
2014 holds some very solid titles and an overall decent lineup for the Wii U, watching the gap between the PS4 and Wii U might actually take some interesting turns throughout the year.
