The Wii's success makes things look worse. But in saying that the WiiU is doing terrible.

2014 - Boynetta 2, Mario Kart and SSB should do some good. We'll see what partnerships with Sega will bring too. As for this year, i think Nintendo are more interested in keeping the 3DS healthy for the time being. I support this action considering the competition in the home console space.

It hurts to watch!

I'd like to see Wii-U and Gamecube get similar treatment. The Wii and Wii-U have almost nothing in common expect for the name. The Wii-U is a core system, so it should be compared against their last core system imo.

People just don't get it when you tell them the Wii's success was the type of success that comes once in a blue moon because its a casual hit.

So, actually once in a generation? Maybe even twice in a generation. I think the Kinect succeeded in bringing in some of that audience.

Mario and Donkey Kong are both coming out soon. The Wii U will pick up. Everyone who thinks otherwise is just a hater.

I want to see a graph for Wii U vs 360 over the first year. If I recall 360 sold 6 million in the first year, meaning with a killer xmas Wii U might not be too far behind....

Wii U in comparison to the XBox 360 and PS3 may be fairer comparison. The Wii and PS2 were both special systems selling around 80 million systems within 5 years, The Wii sold only 20 million systems over the last two years.

Lol almost 10 million. At least it's slightly leveling out starting from month 10.
It's bad, but Wii was a monster. I think one should prepare for the PS4One to show a similar curve though, maybe a little less dramatic but still.

Yeah, no way the PS4 is having a similar path.

The ps4 will outperform the ps3 launch it will be like night and day better price point more games at launch a flushed out online service/store and they have the head start on microsoft vs being 12-18 months behind like the ps3 not to mention the pr gap between the ps3-4 alone means it will crush its predecessor.

the price point between the ps4 xbone and wii u will be notice quite heavily this xmas. people dont want to spend the cash for a new console like they used to. plus already im seeing price drop for the wii u which will in turn hurt the launch of the ps4 and xbone.
