Supercell, the Clash of Clans developer, is in the middle of raising more than $100 million in a funding round, according to TechCrunch. The Company also boasts a valuation of $800 million. Clash of Clans and Hay Day generate around a combined $1.3 million per day.

Details of the deal suggest that Supercell has sold between 15 and 20 percent of the company for between $120 million and $160 million. Atomico and Index Ventures are the reported investors. This news was also confirmed by Gamesbeat who spoke with sources at GDC.

"Firstly, the investors are in it for the long term, they're not in it for short-term win," said CEO Ilkka Paananen speaking with GamesIndustry International back in 2011. "That's a good starting point. I would say it creates some good, healthy pressure and there's people you are responsible for. But definitely, everybody is in this for the long term and that's really important for us."

Supercell was formed two years ago by Ilkka Paananen. Accel invested $12 million in 2011. Rovio, the Angry Birds developer, is located in the next town over from Supercell who have taken a different approach.
