the gap between PS3 an 360 is 1,558,776.

PS2...150m
Xbox...24m

soon we shall ascend to 2nd...soon
With consoles selling roughly 60-70% as well as last year, no fall lineup, and successor consoles releasing/announcing imminently, do you think PS3 will overtake the 360 this year? If PS3 only sells 6.5 million units, the 360 would have to sell only 5 million to be surpassed. I think 2014 is more likely.
Well, the gap is closing and maybe it can be over this year (at least for a time, since hollydays can change it, but in this case 2014 would be the year).
3ds down YoY 2.5%, could it be slowing down? Suppose 2.5% is not significant, so needn't worry about it.
Fall 2011 the 3DS had a massive boost in sales with the $80 price cut, Mario Kart 7, and Super Mario 3D Land. Plus Japan just started to get AAA titles. Last fall, 3DS didn't have very much going for it except the 3DS XL. Expect growth for 2013, but not until that $80 price cut effect wears off from 2012 data.
