looks good. THe software numbers are way off from what VG has though, and I mean WAY off. Im assuming this is the first look a how good game downloads have been for the Wii U. In these two games' case several hundred thousand.
Yeah vgchartz numbers are WAY off, about half of the real numbers given by Nintendo. Of course at least some of that is because of the digital sales, but unless the digital versions are selling just as well as the retail, vgchartz estimates are too low.
The WiiU sales number is shipped not sold to customers that holds true for the game sales as well.
So if the two biggest Wii U games sold 4 million units, where did the other 7 million come from? VGC has every other title selling 10k-30k only......something's fishy.
The "11.69 million Wii U games" probably includes eShop games like Little Inferno, Chasing Aurora, and Trine 2. They're a lot cheaper than retail games so I wouldn't be surprised if they're in the 100ks.
...either that or a lot of the retail Wii U games are heavily undertracked. Or some combination of the two.
Good sales.
Wii u is going much better than Ps Vita actually in you first year...
not bad at all...
things can only get better anyway
not that bad, it will eventually pick up some steam..
Or it won't because it's junk hardware that significantly tails behind true next-gen developments by MS/Sony?
Because the most powerful system ALWAYS wins the market, right?
Somebody needs to double check the numbers. "Nintendo shipped 3.53 million Wii's during its launch and 45.08 million Wii games" So everyone that bought a Wii at launch purchased 12-13 games to go with it? Sounds suspicious to me.
a fairly strong start, but the next few months looks fairly quiet..... A steady stream of 3rd party titles are needed asap
Well the good news is Nintendo is making a profit again, and now Sony how about you turn one too ;). I seriously doubt the Wii sold that many games in its launch because as someone point out below; that's a 11-12 game attach ratio per console. Then again, I did buy 16 games when I bought my PS3, but just saying a little suspect.
