Microsoft Acquires R2 Studios - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 10 January 2013 / 7,027 ViewsMicrosoft has acquired R2 Studios, the home automation start-up. R2 Studios is known for developing technology that allows digital media to be displayed on TVs. The studio was founded by Slingbox creator Blake Krikorian.
The exact terms of the deal have not been disclosed at this time. However Microsoft has appointed Krikorian as the corporate vice president of its Interactive Entertainment business. He will be reported to the chief product officer, of the same division, Marc Whitten.
