Petroglyph Games, the studio behind End of Nations, has been hit with layoffs. Eurogamer has reported that 30 employees have been laid off at the Las Vegas-based studio.

"Well, it appears this winter break will be extended indefinitely." Tweeted End of Nations writer and game designer Adam Stevens. "Lay-offs at Petroglyph. Looking like I'll be Leaving Las Vegas."

Trion and Petroglyph has postponed the End of Nations beta and refunding people who have bought the game. this suggests the game has been put on hold or been cancelled. Trion last month stated it postponed the beta because it has "identified several key areas of the game which need polish and improvement."
