Analyst: Xbox 360 Top Platform in US for November, Down 20% YoY - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 04 December 2012 / 7,736 ViewsEEEDAR analyst Doug Creutz believes the Xbox 360 was the bestselling console in the US for the month of November. He says the console sold 1.35 million units during the month, which means a 20 percent drop year-on-year.
Creutz has also given his sales figures for the other video game platforms. Nintendo's new console, the Wii U, is expected to have sold about 450,000, however sales could have been higher if Nintendo was able to ship more units. He also predicted $50 million in Wii U software sold. He also predicted the 3DS to be flat year-on-year with sales of 800,000. The Wii is expected to sell 170,000 units for the month and the DS 260,000 units.
When it comes to Sony, Creutz is predicting 800,000 units of the PlayStation 3 were sold for the month of November. He also believes the PlayStation Vita struggles continued during the month of November with just 190,000 units sold. Also the PSP is expected to have sold just 8,000 units.
Halo 4 is predicted to have sold 2.9 million units and Assassin's Creed III 2.6 million units. He also expects sales for Call of Duty: Black Ops II to be down when compared to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The reason for the drop is that Black Ops II was available for one less week.

Halo 4 figures do not include the limited edition console figures, but still seem rather low. Halo Reach managed 3.3mil during its first month npd. Hopefully Halo 4 will be able to at least match that considering it has an extra week and came out during the holiday season.
Didn't NoA say that the Wii sold 300,000 units during BF week alone.
"The Wii is expected to sell 170,000 units for the month and the DS 260,000 units."
LOL! On Black Friday week alone Wii sold 300k and the DS did like 275k.
So its safe to say this guys other numbers are off as well.
The sad part is this is about a week after Nintendo announced its numbers.
the sad part is that those guys earn more as most of us will ever earn in our job even if we are perfect in what we do
halo 4 had a revenue of 220m on day one alone (worldwide), if it would have sold only 2.9 million the whole month in usa it would be more succesful in europe which i doubt so i think halo sold more in usa as this analyst. i think vgc should be closer if you think about the 220m of only one day.
btw let's compare him with pachter for some stuff:
3ds: 800k against 440k
ds: 260k against 375k
wii: 170k against 435k
so with such differences what exactly do they get paid for?
you don't need to be an analyst to predict this.
