THQ Sends Out "Correct" Homefront PC Specs and More Details - News

Apparently, the PC specifications that THQ sent out regarding their upcoming emotional shooter Homefront several days ago were not entirely correct, and have today supplied the true specifications as well as some more gameplay-specific information and server related details. Said information can be found below.

Gameplay:

Homefront will support 3D on PC through Nvidia 3D vision support.

On PC you’ll be able to control all vehicles from the 1st and 3rd person cockpit view.

Helicopters will have additional control options: (Ace allows for the best maneuverability, but takes the most practice to master. Veteran has balanced difficulty and maneuverability. Rookie is pick-up-and-play level of difficulty, least maneuverable)

There will be low-level environmental destruction.

The game will include a practice mode.

There will be extra vehicle abilities for co-pilots such as a recon function in the scout helicopter.

Squad Managment System for PC with Squad basd voice over IP will be available.

PC will have clan support.

A multiplayer match recording option will be provided.

A Dedicated Server Browser Executable to allow you to set your own private Homefront servers within 2 weeks of launch

Server:

Homefront will support 32 player servers on PC.

Valve Anti-Cheat will be there to counter hackers.

The game will have support for dedicated servers.

The game will have lan support.

No mod tools for now.

Server admin tools will be there.

No linux support.

Homefront is scheduled to be released on March 10th for those of you living in North America, with Europe seeing the game on March 11th.

So why do you care? I doubt that they payed all that mauch considering its an unproven franchise...

OT: not all that terrible, but I still dotn find the visuals to be apealing. that, and the story is laughable at best...

Wonder how much Nvidia paid to get that. Bet there will be a shiny logo on the box, a mention at the start of every game, and a booklet inside telling you to buy branded glasses/monitors.
