So 4% for Switch 2 is just for the stand alone edition i assume, together with the copies in the Generation Pack it should be higher than the XBox version. Or was that 4% including the Generation Pack?

I know that the game sold comparable amount to the Cyberpunk 2077 launch on Switch 2, and that includes the generation pack in the comparison.

It's good that Requiem seems to have a bigger launch than the remakes. Even though RE remakes are high quality, it's better if new games sell more. That gives Capcoom some good motivation to further develop series.

Remakes should mostly be used to:
-Rekindle interest in a franchise (example Ninja Gaiden)

  • Fill gaps in the release schedule and generate money for make new games.
-Make series more accessible for a younger audience, not everyone has a PlayStation 2 laying around.

What is Series X userbase compared to Switch 2?

PS5 above PC is huge considering this one have twice the number of RE4 on Steam

This game might have sold 2 million+ on PS5 alone, 4 to 5 million debut is likely

This is physical charts only. So it ignores digital sales. Which is why I am surprised it sold anything on PC, let alone 36% of the total.

I didn't even know there was a physical PC version. Are we sure they are not counting digital?

It's retail sales, not physical, which is an important distinction. It's basically anything sold through a track able retail outlet.

Why RE had such a large retail sale is a mystery to me though. No idea where that comes from in this case, at least to that kind of number.

Edit: So, you can buy the game from ShopTo. It's a digital code but this would be a retail sale.
