The PS4 vs XboxOne end of life gap was 5.13m, so almost equaled it already.

Huge difference greater than in the last generation. I believe that the only region in which the PS5 is behind the PS4 is Europe, although the difference has decreased significantly.

Also why we are seeing those incredible YoYs in Europe and the UK. They were the hardest hit by shortages.

Will we have 2:1 in the US by the end of the gen?

Not a chance.

You know so far this year it's 1.92:1. If Xbox sales get even worse in the coming years... I'd say there's at least a small chance.

This is the third year that lower than 2 to 1 so it has to sell higher than 2 to 1 long enough to compensate.

It won't be easy but with how dire Xbox sales are this year and rumours of it being replaced early it is on the table. In a situation where PS5 sales reached 130m and Xbox just 45m globally I can see that 2:1 gap being a reality. It depends on whether MS can offer any recovery in 2024 or if the Series is going to just keep tanking.

This is the Us market we were talking about tho. Global has a better chance and still would be hard.

What? Global is guaranteed over 2:1, it's almost that right now. Read my post again. I am saying the situation globally could end up almost 3:1 and in that situation USA only could easily be around 2:1.

This is to be seen but 3:2 is a certainty.

Ps5 is still king

Playstation really taking the lead here, but I do think Xbox will have a better 2nd half of it's life than it's first.

If they don't have a huge December in the USA it might be telling. Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon have all had the Xbox Series X on sale for $349, Walmart and Costco have had the Xbox Series S on sale for $150 and $138. Microsoft's own store is selling the Series X for $400. If Xbox doesn't win December with those insane prices, that isn't looking good.

Also, they come back form that so those have to be the new MSRP otherwise if they don't win December then in hindsight the will be remembered as 'the great Xbox clearance sale'.
