$70 version that launches incomplete unless you preorder, but even then is incomplete

$110 version that has more content but is still incomplete

$250 version that should be complete yet it has Kombat Koins or whatever which tells me even it won’t be complete

Sad

People expect less from WB?

Especially after they brought in a complete idiot as their new CEO.

Not sure if it’s a WB thing. Hogwarts launched in a fantastic state. Mortal Kombat has done this for years.

Ok, but I still hate David Zaslav, and I'm pretty sure the general public hates him too, and that was before the Animaniacs reboot's disastrous finale.

I think Hogwarts has the licence problem or more saved by the fact it's not actually WBs thing, look how Battlefront 2 was received after EA's dirty tactics, if Hogwarts, an even more kid friendly franchise, had that kind of monetisation a lot of parents would have noticed/complained. MK? Not so much.

The Kombat Koins are in the $110 version as well. The $250 version just seems to be adding collectors items and skins on top of it.

I'm sure the "Komplete" version with be announced at some point down the line.

I think you meant to type "inkomplete" 🤣

If they're rebooting the series couldn't they just give it a new name/subtitle? Mortal Kombat 1 should only be used when referring to the original 1992 game!

Really? Companies need to stop reverting back to the Number 1. BF1, MK1, XB1. Its nothing but confusing. Numbers are meant to be used to put games in order. Use a subtitles if numbers arent the way forward anymore. What next MK2 which already exists.

I miss the (very old) days the MK characters were charismatic and the lore was dark (MK2 will always be the best one)... Seriously what the hell is that? It's basically Ghost of Tsushima with a lil gore. And Shang freaking Tsung as a freaking preorder bonus DLC??? You gotta be kidding me...

Yeah. They (and other publishers) should hire some super-fans and consult them on how not to tick off the fanbase. It doesn't seem that difficult to me. lol

Did NetherRealm go to the Xbox school of installment naming? lol

I don't think anyone would pay 70 bucks for an incomplete fighting game,

At least Capcom hasn't increased their prices so sf6 might tempt more people.

And what happened to injustice 3?

No more taking turns just mortal Kombat?

I seen leaks for Conan the Barbarian coming to the game, I am now willing to drop any money for this game if that leak is true. Diehard Conan fan....

Being an assist based game is interesting. Defintely need to see some gameplay footage though.

I wanna see gameplay. At least the story is more optimistic than the previous timeline, and Liu Kang shows that even though he's giving the new timeline cast freedom of choice with their new lives, that doesn't mean he'll take Shang Tsung's bullshit sitting down.

Hard to get excited over a CGI trailer. I need to see gameplay.

The Fury (on 18 May 2023)

Decent story trailer but not gameplay, shame but look forward to what they have on offer, the 'Kameo' thing sounds interesting. It'ds presumably a way to have extra characters which you don't play but fit the lore of the game, working like tag games where the character comes in and does moves, but unique per team up, you just can't control that character. Rest is normal stuff, including sadly the WB preorder stuff. :P
