This continues the narrative that indies are underperforming on PlayStation systems, vs. their PC/Xbox/Switch counterparts. We can debate the reasons why, but a growing number of indies are skipping PS so it appears to be fact.

....but it's not skipping Playstation. It's coming at a later date. Regardless of the reason, the game will hit Playstation.

If indies continue to sell poorly on PS, that will eventually change. Indies are starting to report better sales on other platforms with smaller install bases than PS has.

Why are you even bringing this up? You had 2 or 3 indie devs reporting that. That doesn't mean all of them feel that way. Relax. Playstation is still a very viable platform that isn't going anywhere for indies. I would venture Nintendo is the place to be for indies. Doesn't mean the others aren't though.

Because it's an interesting trend to watch? And VGChartz is a site all about watching video game sales trends? Honestly, you asking why I brought it up is the strangest thing I've read all morning. :)

I'm specifically talking about the indie and Playstation relationship. That's what I'm referring to. Why are you bringing that up in this scenario when it very well may not have anything to do with that whole indie debacle?! :-

Because this indie developer appeared to find it a better business decision, for whatever reason, to prioritize the Xbox and Switch versions over the PS version. That's an interesting data point, given growing evidence of indies under-performing on PS systems these days. I think that's highly germane.

As for it "will" hit PlayStation, and it's reportedly still under development, but it may get delayed and/or eventually cancelled. Or it may come out. Lots of games get cancelled, so it's a "watch this space" element since they're prioritizing other systems.

I think it's interesting. Some people complain about the number of ads on the Xbox dashboard (and fair enough if you don't like them), but a lot of the ads are for games on the service, including indie games. Some developers are highlighting that for why indies over-perform on Xbox. Similarly, the lack of discoverability of indies on the PS4 and PS5 dashes has been highlighted as a problem for indies.

It's an interesting subject, and is germane to this article IMO, so that's why I commented on it.

Fair enough.
