Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Purple Lamp Studios at PAX East 2020 at a hands-on demo for SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. Gematsu has released a video of the demo.

Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in spongetastic splendor! Play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy and show the evil Plankton that crime pays even less than Mr. Krabs. Want to save Bikini Bottom from lots of rampant robots? Of course you do! Want to underpants bungee jump? Why wouldn’t you! Want to join forces in a brand new multiplayer mode? The battle is on!

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated will launch for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC in 2020.

I never played this game as a kid. I had the game based off the movie and that was one of my favorite games on the GameCube.
