America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed.
After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26.

Well, give Rockstar credit, they sure the hell know how to make a compelling trailer.
I was really hoping for a gameplay one, still excited for this, maybe at E3 then.
Yeah, I'm not really worried about how the game looks like, I was just hoping for a new gameplay mechanic, like maybe homestead building, new animations and such, these are just examples that doesn't have to be in the game(the homestead building part in particular), just surprise me that's all.
I hoped we would see gameplay in this trailer, but I guess we'll have to wait for e3, or even closer to launch.
Seeing John Marston gives me the feeling this game is going for a huge bait and switch, a-la Metal Gear Solid 2.
So that really was John, the one hostaged?
