PS4 Pro Helps the PS4 Outsell the Xbox One in the US in November - News

The Xbox One outsold the PlayStation 4 for four straight months in the US, however, the steak has ended. The PlayStation 4 Pro helped push the PlayStation 4 above the Xbox One in November, according to NPD.

November is one of the two biggest months of the year for gaming. December is the other big month.

Sony did not comment on the NPD figures, however, Xbox marketing boss Mike Nichols did release a statement.

"We have seen strong momentum for Xbox One since announcing the new Xbox One S at E3 in June," Nichols said. "That momentum continued in November as gaming consoles were once again among the most sought-after products to buy over Black Friday weekend. In addition, we saw record engagement among Xbox One owners on Xbox Live as fans enjoyed new games and great deals. In fact, the total players online on Sunday, November 27 was up 40 percent compared to last year."

So tired of hearing about XBL when Microsoft doesn't want to comment on sales. That trend is played out.

Who cares? Unlike the difference between Blu-Ray and DVD format last gen, the lack of 4K Blu-Ray has no effect on games or gameplay. PS4 Pro is designed to be a powerful gaming console; the media playback is a bonus.

Be nice to know what the Pro did....so we can actually say it's why it won

Short of examining alternate realities, we can't be certain that's what made the difference. :-) I'm surprised to see that Pros are still available post-Black Friday, so they either had impressive supply, a lack of overwhelming demand, or both.

I don't think Sony cares anymore. They're there to better PlayStation and continue domination of the market as a whole; MS are the ones who are thirsting for the NPD victories because they've probably accepted that XB1 is never going to outsell PS4 worldwide.
