by William D'Angelo , posted on 07 November 2016 / 7,949 ViewsSony Interactive Entertainment’s Shawn Layden speaking on Live with YouTube Gaming, and transcribed by MCVUK, that Hello Games is hard at work improving No Man's Sky and making it closer to the original vision.
"Hello Games, Sean Murry and his team, had an incredible vision for what they were going to create. Something never done before and a very small team had a very huge ambition," said Layden. "They’re still working at it, still updating it. They’re trying to get it closer to what their vision was."

"We don’t want to stifle ambition, we don’t want to stifle creativity, we don’t want to put people into slots where they must execute against an action adventure path or a fighting path or a shooting path and perhaps over time it will reveal itself to be all that it can be," he added.
"No-one in development wants to say that they can’t do a thing, right? No-one wants to tell someone no, I can’t do that for you. People really try. Looking at different industries I’ve had the privilege of working in, the games industry is where everyone has the courage to say yes. They want to try and realise their ambition, they want to try and make that vision.
"No-one slinks away from a huge challenge and sometimes you just don’t get all the way there the first go."

Haven't played it, but from what I've gathered from all the....complaints, the game launched with hardly any of the promised features. If they truly intend to implement every one of those features, it'll be a long wait.
To be honest, it doesn't seem like they promised a lot in the first place. However, they still managed to underdeliver despite that. That's obviously a problem, but to me it seems like the game simply doesn't have enough things to do, and wouldn't have even if they had kept the promises.
OMG, he's making vague statements again... Has this guy learned nothing? STOP WITH THE CRYPTIC JIBBER JABBER... You are working on the game still, that's good. What is going to be the first thing you try and fix? That's all you should be saying...
