It's really interesting seeing how these sales line up. I wonder how NX will effect this gap, if at all.

The PS4 is keeping up quite well, and given the PlayStation's history with much better leg it will start to pay-off in 2017. Considering that this year still has a lot to offer, like Uncharted, and PSVR the Wii might not pull out ahead that much further on the PS4...

As long as sales remain consistent, and this VR thing actually takes off, the PS4 should easily be able to over take the Wii by 2017 some time.

You think the PS4 is going to outdo a growing 8 million console debt in two years? That's VERY optimistic to say the least. Maybe 2018 since the Wii will be effectively dead at that relative point in each cycle but the Wii was still rolling insanely strong for another year and a half.

It's arguable whether the ps4 will even outsell the wii's sales aligned for that year much less make up a gap of 10 million+ Wii sold 17.3 million that year.

i mean the wii sold 11 million was it the next year? Or was it 10? I could see PS4 beating it by 5-8 million that year which won't be enough yet, then it will be 2019. First half of 2019 seems about right.

Am I the only one that thinks Playstation 4 will never catch Wii?

2010 was still a pretty big year for Wii, 17.3 million which is on par with PS4 sales in 2015.
