William, considering the PS4's intense lead over the XB1, can we start getting some PS4 vs XB1+WiiU charts? If nothing else, it would be a little less one-sided.

With the systems being as similar as they are, it's hard to imagine any scenario in which XBone closes the gap. Unless there is a drastic price cut, an incredibly avant garde exclusive, or a major new peripheral there is no reason for this trend to change.

William, when can we expect to see direct comparisons between the PS3 and PS4... and concordantly the Xbox 360 and Xbox One?

I'm pretty sure there should be a ps4 vs x1 and wiiu chart by now, and a ps4 vs ps3 and x360.

The thing that is interesting to me is how straight the line is, despite everything MS has thrown at the XB1 it has had absolutely no effect on the sales trajectory of the PS4.

to be honest the sales lead that PS4 has is impressing. But we should take under consideration that the initial launch of both systems was not similar. The PS4 system was available on 48 countries during launch and X1 was available at 13 countries. This is Microsoft fault but nevertheless it shaped the sales figures and the marketing of PS4 which was continuously outselling X1.
