FIFA 16 Cover to Feature a Woman for First Time in the US, Canada, & Australia - News

The cover of FIFA 16 in the US, Canada, and Australia will feature a woman for the first time in the history of the franchise.
US soccer star Alex Morgan will be featured on the cover alongside Lionel Messi (this means Messi will be featured on all covers of the game).
"It is an incredible honor to be one of the first women featured on the cover of FIFA," said Morgan. "I know people all over the world play this game and I'm really excited that FIFA 16 is putting such an important spotlight on women's soccer. And now to share the cover with today's greatest player is surreal."
It's also been announced that the Canadian Women's team captain, Christine Sinclair, will be featured on the cover of the Canadian version of the game. The Australian version will feature Steph Catley on the cover.
FIFA 16 will be released on September 22 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Well in north america soccer is pretty much stereotyped as a female sport so that make sense. Good luck passing that in Europe (and even more latin america) where football is stereotyped as one of the manliest sport. Having just a woman on the cover in north america and just a man on the cover in Europe would have been more fair.
I mean if you have both men's and women's football/soccer in the game, why not?

They deserve to be on it this year with the World cup run, My only problem is if next time it doesn't contain a woman on the cover the sexism card will be played.
Since Messi is the global player on the cover I feel there has to be a Premier League player with him on the cover here in the UK. Probably the same for the rest of Europe since the top leagues in Europe have such strong fanbases.

Women can't compete at men's level. Much to the chagrin of feminists everywhere.
Not really surprising given that the women national team is the one bringing home the cups.
I have a suggestion for Fifa 16 in Latin America! Put Higuain right there, but just his head... on a fucking stick. Also Alexis Sanchez should be in there (as much as I hate him, he deserves some recognition I guess).
Also next time you release a Fifa game make sure you make those world cup matches in Carrer mode available.
Next year do the same but have a new born baby in the middle...

this is such a fuckn joke! some girl on the cover with a living god. there shouldnt be a women on the cover because they cant play nearly as good as anybody in the 1st league in any of the major countrys-
