Multiplayer Servers for Crysis 1 and 2 Shutting Down on PC - News
by VGChartz Staff , posted on 15 April 2014 / 4,513 ViewsWhen it was announced that GameSpy would be shutting down its servers on multiple games, the question was raised: will some games migrate to a new server?
That will not be the case for Crysis or Crysis 2 on PC, whose multiplayer will be no longer playable after May 31st. The console versions will still be playable online, however.

This is unfortunate news, not only for Crysis fans, but for the future of multiplayer games in general. What games will be impacted next? On the list of GameSpy titles, standouts include:
- Red Dead Redemption (Xbox 360, PS3)
- Borderlands (PC, PS3)
- Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Wii)
- Scribblenauts (DS)
- Saints Row 2 (PC, PS3)
- Grand Theft Auto IV (PC, PS3)
- Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii)*
- Mario Kart Wii (Wii)*
*Online will shut down on May 20th with closure of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
