Watch Dogs to be Ubisoft's Last Mature Game on the Wii U - News
by VGChartz Staff , posted on 19 August 2014 / 3,884 ViewsUbisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot, has said that Watch Dogs will be the last mature rated game that Ubisoft will release on the Wii U for the foreseeable future.
He commented, in an interview with Gameinformer, that: “What we see is that Nintendo customers don’t buy Assassin’s Creed. Last year, we sold in very small numbers”. Yves then went on to state that Nintendo players aren't interested in mature games, saying: “What we see is that they are very interested in Just Dance, very interested by other kinds of games, so what we are trying to do is to focus more on the types of games they are interested in... [Watch Dogs] is coming to Wii U. It will be the only mature game we publish on it.”

Despite that assurance, Watch Dogs for Wii U still has no confirmed release date. The Wii U accounts for just 3% of Ubisoft's revenue (the figure was 4% in the last financial year, and that was without competition from the Xbox One and PlayStation 4), so this news perhaps shouldn't come as a great surprise.
