Goodgame Studios Open Studios in Japan and Korea - News

Goodgame Studios, the online and mobile game developer, has announced they have opened up studios in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea. The developer is expanding its presence in Asian markets, which is currently based out of Hamburg, Germany.
"Asia is the market to be in for online games, and therefore it obviously has a leading role to play in our internationalization strategy," said COO and co-founder of Goodgame Studios Christian Wawrzinek in a press release. "However, no western gaming company has ever been able to establish itself there in the long term. We want to be the first to do so. To achieve that goal, having local offices with local contact people is absolutely essential."
"The Asian market will of course remain a tremendous challenge with many unknowns," added Wawrzinek. "However, the first step towards long term success for the games has been made."
Goodgame Studios was founded in 2009 and has grown to more than 500 employees. There are more than 150 million registered user worldwide to play their games.
