Media Create: Nintendo 3DS and Ace Combat on Top

The PS3 version of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon topped the Media Create sales chart selling 149,470 units on its debut week, the Xbox 360 version was at the 6th spot with 20,523 units. The Japanese version of Just Dance Wii sold 90,039 units in its first week, debuting at second. Forza Motorport 4 debuted at the 5th spot with 24,584 units sold while Dead Rising 2: Off the Record was at 7, with 16,913 units sold.

This week's hardware chart didn't change much compared to last week's. 3DS continues at the top despite having only one game in the top 20 software chart. This week Media Create has finally removed PSP go from the hardware chart.

Interesting, Just Dance - a western dance game, is doing well in Japan. In fact, it had a FAR better launch there than here. I wonder if it will explode the same way in popularity?

@ kingofwale the only kid I know with a 3DS was playing Mario Kart DS last time I saw him. So there might be something to it.

PSP sales have dropped off big, well PSV is coming up so its expected, anyways PSP and PS3 dominate software charts I would expect that it going to be more sony dominated come PSV as well.

3DS continues to sell 50k hardware while the best selling game registers less than 10K. piracy I assume? Or people actually buy it to play DS games,

I'm guessing to some degree there is buildup for the Monster Hunter game, people just playing DS games till then.

piracy on 3DS requieres a custom made circuit board as big as a hand, last I heard... so I doubt it's that mainstream...

Maybe so but Legend of Zelda OoT 3D will be reaching 2 million copies before Holiday.
