Nintendo Announces 'Customer Appreciation Sale,' Made Possible by 'Tariff-Related Refunds' - News

Nintendo of America has announced the Customer Appreciation Sale, which will run from September 13 to 26 across the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Store, and participating retailers.
Dozens of Nintendo Switch digital games and bundles will be discounted by 30 percent. There will also be discounts on select physical games, downloadable content, accessories, amiibo, and apparel.
Nintendo did state the sale is made possible in part because of the tariff-related refunds it has received.
"The Customer Appreciation Sale is our way of saying thank you to Nintendo players for their continued support and is made possible in part by tariff-related refunds," said Nintendo. "While Nintendo absorbed most tariff-related costs, the refunds helped make promotions like this one possible.
"Thank you for being part of the Nintendo community. We hope you'll discover your next adventure during the Customer Appreciation Sale!"

It's like I get an employee appreciation party at work, but I have to buy the pizzas. At least I get a discount on the pizzas.
Anything consumer friendly is a rarity from Nintendo these days, I'll be checking out if any of the Switch games I still want are on sale.
But yeah I get what you're saying, especially considering games going on sale is completely NORMAL outside of Nintendo games. So this is more like hey we'll put some games on discount like every other company does regularly but only as a one-time thing because we got illegal tariffs money back.

Sony discount their games by 30% or more quite regularly though. Its just called "Wednesday"
