A solid direct overall. Metroid and Kirby look great. 2027 is going to be a crazy strong year for the switch 2. After how disappointing the transition to next gen was for the ps5 and series x. It's great to see Nintendo actually focusing on using exclusives to sell a console.
Switch 2 kicking ASS!!!!!!
last Direct of the year? and no Mario...
Dread and Kirby were the only two 10/10 games from Nintendo after the first year of the Switch imo. I didn't like the Switch that much because I owned all the games on Wii U already.
I'm beyond excited for the 6 month window we have here, Nintendo is doing great. They need to re-release their SNES and N64 and Gamecube library like the PC ports are doing, but besides that this 6 month period is great.
Ocarina (GOTY) Dread 2 (og GOTY) and Kirby World 2 (og GOTY), along with Star Fox, Splatoon SP, Fire Emblem, 60fps Age of Calamity, and 4k Mario Kart 8. 4 x Xenoblade releases also.
Not bad, Nintendo, not bad. I'd like more 120fps patches (Mario Kart 8 at 120fps would have killed off Mario Kart World lol so they didn't do it), more 60fps patches (Pikmin update sucks), and more remakes of SNES and N64 and Gamecube stuff, but I'd say August to February is the best 6 months for the Switch 2 so far.
Very lackluster by usual September Direct standards. Kirby was the only new announcement for me.
For me and my children, it was the best Direct ever! But the only missing thing was a new Mario game.
also the Zelda themed Switch 2 look amazing, much nicer than my Wii U one, and sold out instantly... grrrr.... i already sold my Switch 2 to change over and I can't get the new one now, will wait
Metal Slug ultimate collection has me intrigued. Im surprised they did not do a full on King of Fighter 94-XIII collection too.
Okay Forgotten Land and Dread were some of the best games on Switch right below the ultra S-tiers like Smash and Zelda, so pretty damn exciting. Ironically the Kirby game looks more different from Forgotten Land than the Metroid does from Dread where I would probably have prefered the other way around, but still likely to be two very great games.
