Looks like Capcom aren't doing half-bad, as the sequel to one of their freshest franchises, Dead Rising 2, just hit two million copies shipped (through October 28th). Capcom said in a press release this morning that this is the first entry in the Dead Rising series to go double platinum. Judging by our numbers, though, a lot of copies haven't left retailers yet, although through September 2010 the initial shipment was 1.8m units according to this.
The game saw a near-simultaneous worldwide release at the end of September for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Capcom reported that this brings the Dead Rising franchise sales up to 4 million total, spread across the titles Dead Rising for Xbox 360, Dead Rising: Chop 'Til You Drop for Wii and the aforementioned Dead Rising 2.
