Publisher tinyBuild and developer Lazy Bear Games announced will launch for the Nintendo Switch "very soon."

View the Nintendo Switch announcement trailer below:

Here is an overview of the game:

Graveyard Keeper is the most inaccurate medieval cemetery management sim of all time. Build and manage your own graveyard, and expand into other ventures, while finding shortcuts to cut costs. Use all the resources you can find. After all, this is a game about the spirit of capitalism, and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business. And it’s also a love story.

Key Features:

  • Face ethical dilemmas. Do you really want to spend money on that proper burger meat for the witch-burning festival, when you have so many resources lying around?
  • Gather valuable materials and craft new items. Expand your Graveyard into a thriving business. Help yourself — gather the valuable resources scattered across the surrounding areas, and explore what this land has to offer.
  • Quests and corpses. These dead bodies don’t need all those organs, do they? Why not grind them up and sell them to the local butcher? Or you can go on proper quests, you roleplayer.
  • Explore mysterious dungeons. No medieval game would be complete without those! Take a trip into the unknown, and find discover new alchemy ingredients — which may or may not poison a whole bunch of nearby villagers.

Played it on PC, but I'd be happy to also play it on the Switch. I did the same with Stardew.

I'd really love for CF to port Starbound someday.

65 on Opencritic. So it occupies the same space in my mind as Rain World. An awesome looking game, that is marred by technical issues. :( Maybe one day both games will get the patches they deserve to make them playable.

I've honestly not run into any issues with the game itself as of yet. Mind you, I've hardly run into many if any issues with sprite based games (unless you count Chrono Cross port).

I spoke too soon. They did iron the bugs out after all. I guess some reviewers flat out didn't like it for other reasons. Too far to walk, too little stamina, and too many fetch quests were the main gripes. Maybe when it comes to Switch critics will take a fresh look at it. None of the critics that reviewed the game are favorites of mine. I'd like to see what Destructoid's Chris Carter, or Easy Allies have to say about it.

I mean, it technically does sound repetitive, when all you're doing is messing around with dead bodies, burying them and maybe running a few dungeon runs and visits to your local Church. Stardew has more focus on farming, dungeon runs and NPC relationships.

People have been asking for this on Switch since it released on PC. It's like Stardew, only you're tending to graves and the Church.
