Nintendo has released New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch.

View the launch trailer below:

Here is an overview of the game:

Run, leap and stomp your way through more than 160 2D side-scrolling courses in traditional Super Mario style with New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for Nintendo Switch!

Up to four players can work together to grab coins and topple enemies on their way to the Goal Pole, or see who can nab the most gold in frantic, friendly – and above all, fun – competition!

Story:

Bowser, Bowser Jr., and the Koopalings have taken over the whole of Peach’s Castle, and have flung Mario and friends to the farthest reaches of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Go it alone or gather some pals and cross oceans, deserts, swamps and snow fields to get there. Whatever you do, be sure to put an end to Bowser’s evil plans!

I know a lot of people were burned out on the NSMB formula by time this one was released, but honestly I think this one was the best of the bunch.

Downloaded it last night before release. Only played the Wii one before. I played some original SMB on Switch last night, then NSMBU this morning and I gotta say I don't like how soft the controls are in those games. Going from SMB yesterday to NSMBU today made me really miss the tight controls of older mario games. Still though looking forward to diving into it!

Dude, I keep saying this...The Wii U SHOULD have been the Switch from the beginning. Nintendo just fucked up with a console by calling it the Wii U. The only reason that system failed was because of the name. I honestly swear most people just assumed it was some kind of enhanced add-on to the original Wii lol for a crazy price!
