I'm astonished that some people still think this is a port. I could tell it was new as soon as they showed battlefield.

It says more about about you than the new game.

It says you're missing out on an incredible new game that will easily be among the Switch's best once all is said and done.

To me it says you bought a Wii-U then were smart enough to remove it from your TV but after this E3 you think it's the time for that console to shine?

Well, I want to play SSB and, by hooking up my Wii U, I'll get to play it before everyone else. Where's the crime in that?

They're not duping me into another MK Deluxe. I bought that because family members bitched when I didn't have my Wii U hooked up anymore. I knew it was basically the same damn game and they'd get bored with it after a week playing it but no, I had to buy it and let them learn for themselves. They did. Quickly.

Not going to support this enhanced port bullshit any longer.

Better yet, why did people buy Brawl if it was just an enhanced Melee?

They added what, 2 or 3 new characters? It's a port.

In the Treehouse you can see how extremly polished this game already is!

it does look beautiful, if anything my major worry with all the content will be the size of the download for it digitally.

I know there won't be one, but if there's some sort of subspace emissary type mode in this game than I will be extremely happy

I would actually buy it if that were to be true.

Yea i mean if it's the Smash ultimate, they will probably bring back some sort of story mode. They listened to the fans a lot with the all characters thing and Ridley, and tbh the Story mode is so requested they can't just not make anything similar. Atleast have new fresh modes that aren't just fighting in pvp.

65 Characters, 50 assist trophies, 100s of items to use.....

No Items, Fox Only.....

Final Destination.

I was hoping for some new characters, it's basically just Smash from WiiU with all the DLC characters, plus Snake, the inklings and the ice climbers. Is this the final list? Or is there more to come?

  • +5
PAOerfulone think-man (on 12 June 2018)

Ridley is a new character plus there will be a few more. Though Sakurai himself said not to expect many new characters as a result of everyone coming back. It’ll probably only be 3-4 more newcomers.

pikashoe think-man (on 12 June 2018)

I'd say 5-10 newcomers for this game. The last one had over 20.

Ridley, Inkling and Daisy. Three new characters, plus the inevitable DLC. Not to mention all of the returning characters (I'm still baffled Pichu got in). The game is reaching critical levels on fighters as it is, each iteration becomes a bit more impossible to top than the last.

There's also the addition of: Young Link, Pichu, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Ridley,
Wolf and Daisy. With Snake, Inklings, and Ice Climbers that's 10 new characters over Smash for Wii U so far, and there's been hinted to be more to come.

Not to mention the sheer amount of work and reworking done to each of the returning characters, sure Iceclimbers and Pichu are coming back, but they aint going to be using their 480p models from the GC era.

Marvel: Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover in history.
Nintendo: Bitch, please!

The end of the list is Daisy Ridley? The new Star Wars girl? XD

indeed, it was a late reveal, Disney have taken the star wars license from EA and given it to Nintendo to use in smash.

Even though I am not a nintendo fan nor a smash fan, I have to acknowledge that nintendo is going to win epically in sales in December by a lot with this game alone.

With that date tho.. there is no first party releasing in August or September ? Weird :/

Ljink96 xMetroid (on 13 June 2018)

I think Smash pushed back Yoshi and Fire Emblem in which Yoshi would have launched in August, Smash should have been September, and Fire Emblem should have been November. The "rumor" going around is Smash pulled staff from other departments to get it out in time for 2018.

Ljink96 xMetroid (on 13 June 2018)

I mean, Fire Emblem should have been 'December".
