Capcom: Resident Evil Due for a 'Full-Scale Offensive' This Year

Capcom: Resident Evil Due for a 'Full-Scale Offensive' This Year - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 09 May 2016 / 9,216 Views

Capcom is readying a "full-scale offensive" with the Resident Evil franchise during the current fiscal year ending March 31, 2017.

The next game in the franchise, Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps, releases in June and will be just a "warm up."

This could mean Resident Evil 7 is coming out soon or they could be talking about the Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 remasters.

Thanks VG24/7.

Resident Evil 7 wont happen soon. Capcom is still on the Budget Road and they simply can't handle a new AAA project. Look at the mess they've done with the Launch of Street Fighter V. So, better prepare for new digital releases in the West/Remasters.

But there still is the Resident Evil 2 Remake which was announced and we haven't seen a single concept Artwork till now. I guess the Resident Evil 2 Remake is what they are aiming for 2017.

Oh the other news piece i saw didn't say it was exclusive to resident evil.
If it were then i would expect RE7 and Remake2.

Just me or without RE7 that statement means nothing?? Like would Umbrella Corps, say 2 remasters and a different spin off really be considered a "full-scale offensive"??

Capcom, if you don't want to ruin the RE IP, just announce a release date for RE2 Remake and forget all the stuffs you planned about other RE games... Or maybe an announcement about RE3 Remake!
