Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to Skip the PS3 and Xbox 360

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to Skip the PS3 and Xbox 360 - News

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will skip the last generation of consoles, announced Infinity Ward on Twitter.

Infinity Ward was asked by a fan if the game will see a release on the PlayStation 3 and said "no, it will not." While the Xbox 360 wasn't mentioned it is safe to assume the game won't release on that platform.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches November 4, 2016.

At the very least I thought they might do a multiplayer only release. Black Ops 3 did pretty good on last gen considering what they offered. I'm thinking we'll see a bundle release of the Modern Warfare trilogy.

Let's hope they could release Modern Warfare trilogy HD collection later in the future.

Maybe with every IW release of CoD it will offer a MW remaster. So maybe in 2019 and 2022 we'll get MW2 and MW3.

Shame really, but could it mean these games are built from the ground up with Next gen in mind.

I meant it's sad for those who can't afford a ps4/x1 but they should have skipped bo3 too

The big question is will it be a launch game for NX? If Nintendo is serious about getting 3rd party support then it needs this to be in the launch lineup and they need to announce it as a launch title before the game releases for the other platforms this year.

After how superior BO2 is to BO3 on last gen, and how terrible that was. This is to be expected.

Bummer, they don't wanna release game for the last gen consoles like Treyarch did on Black Ops 3(online multiplayer) which was appreciated for those people can wait for revision 8th gen consoles & price cut(or even waiting for better deals), oh well, can't blame them.

Eh, PS360 are still very capable machines. Frankly they can handle much of the content that comes to 8th gen. I don't think people having access to a budget console is a bad thing.

@CGI - Last gen is still a viable platform for some IPs to make money. It turns out DLC is coming for Black Ops 3 on last gen. But whatever, I don't really care but it doesn't bother me when last gen gets support.
