So, based on these numbers, and the XOne vs 360 chart, the PS3 is also beating the Xbox One...

The PS3 from 2009 to 2011 is close to where the PS4 was last year, and looks to be this year.

The PS4 may increase from here, but I doubt it will increase as much as the PS3 did. There is less wiggle room with the pricing, and the PS4 started off much better, and so has less room to climb.

The PS4 seems like a sure bet to stay ahead of the PS3 for its first five years. The question is if the PS4 will have the same lifespan as the PS3. I do not believe it will, so the PS3 has a small but realistic chance of coming out on top.

Does anyone know when PS3 peaked? Was it 2010? Also, how is Xbone tracking against PS3? This suggest it's tracking at least 1M less than PS3.

VGC has XB1 at about 13.9M, and PS3 at about 14.9M, within the same time frame, so it's about a million give or take.
