Fire Emblem Fates Leads During Strong Week in Japan - News

It was a strong week in Japan with 11 new releases in the top 20. 

Fire Emblem Fates: White Kingdom / Dark Knight Kingdom (3DS) debuted at the top of the charts (week ending June 28) according to Media Create, as reported by Gematsu. The game sold 260,675 units in its first week on sale.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night (PSV) debuted at number two with sales of 94,036 units. Fire Emblem Fates: Special Edition (3DS) debuted at number three with sales of 42,991 units. Rhythm Heaven: The Best+ (3DS) debuted at number four with sales of 42,718 units, and Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward (PS4) debuted at number five with sales of 38,758 units.

Sales for the Nintendo 3DS increased by over 8,000 thanks to these new releases - the handheld sold 32,355 units. PlayStation Vita sales doubled to 23,134 units. The PlayStation 4 sold 14,482 units, closely followed by the Wii U at 13,166 units. Finally, the PlayStation 3 sold 2,761 units and the Xbox One sold 243 units.
