Rumour: Xbox 720 Launch Exclusives Include Forza, Ryse, Zombie Game - News
by Craig S , posted on 11 April 2013 / 8,031 ViewsThe Xbox 720/Durango rumours continue today (could it be Microsoft intentionally leaking to combat the recent negative press?). This time the reports revolve around the software side of things. As well as the expected third party presence and multi-platform titles, Microsoft are set to have four major self-published exclusives at the core of their launch line-up. These are:
Ryse
The title, which was originally shown off for the Xbox 360 at Microsoft's 2011 E3 press conference, has been rewritten to take advantage of Microsoft's next console. Ryse is expected to be "Microsoft's new Gears of War / Halo mega launch title", although that seems at odds with the description of Ryse using "deep Kinect integration", unless Kinect has been substantially improved.
Forza
The second of the four major launch titles is the first next-gen entry in the Forza franchise (and likely a much safer bet than Ryse, if we're being honest here). The game will have "super life-like graphics". Car simulation fan heaven then, basically.
Untitled Zombie Game
Not much to report on this one. Could this be new mega-studio Black Tusk's first game? Or perhaps a Turtle Rock Project (they of Left 4 Dead fame)? Either way, with Zombi U being one of the Wii U's more interesting and popular launch titles, this could be one to keep an eye out for if the team behind it decide to bring some originality to the table.
Untitled Family Game
A family game with 'Pixar movie-style graphics' that is set on an island is the last of the rumoured major exclusive launch titles coming from Microsoft.
