EA Announces The Sims 4 - News

Following rumors over the last couple of days that a new entry in the venerable Sims franchise was on its way, EA and Maxis have officially announced The Sims 4 for PC and Mac.
EA hasn't revealed much information other than a 2014 release date, but apparantly more info will come later today, so stay tuned to this post for more updates.
It's interesting seeing this announcement coming so soon after the release of SimCity and the "always-online" controversy that surrounded it. Will EA take the criticisms directed at SimCity to heart? Maxis has already confirmed that The Sims 4 will feature an offline single-player mode, so it's already seeming like they have.
