After quite a long time in publisher limbo it looks like South Park: The Stick of Truth is finally going to release. Ubisoft announced today that the long-awaited RPG adaptation of the much-loved irreverent cartoon will be coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on December 10th, 2013 (December 13th, 2013 in Europe). So technically speaking that trailer we saw at E3 about it coming this year was correct!
Those who want to really show their love for the series can purchase the Wizard addition for $80. It includes a little Cartman wizard doll, so I might have to get that version myself.
Everything we've seen of this game thus far has left me certain that it's going to be a faithful and entertaining adaptation of South Park in video game format, the only thing left is to see if the gameplay can live up to the immaculate presentation, and we'll finally know that one way or another once December rolls around.
