Telltale Games has officially announced Season 2 of The Walking Dead, the adventure series based on Robert Kirkman's comic series of the same name. It will start on PC and Mac later this year, with console and iOS ports to come in the future.

Season 2 of The Walking Dead will focus on the young girl, Clementine, who players will get the chance to play as. About 2 years have passed since the events of Season 1. Players will struggle against the undead and other humans as they test the player's morality and challenge them in a world where "no one can be trusted".

"The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman's world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series," Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors said in his statement.

Season Two, like the first, will be five episodes long that will be released periodically. Players have the choice of buying the entire game upfront with a $22.50 full season purchase, or buying each episode individually for $5.

Or for those who just hate digital with a passion.

Telltale Games also announced The Walking Dead: Game of the Year Edition, a retail bundle for North America that includes the full first season of The Walking Dead, the 400 Days expansion content, the game's soundtrack and a behind-the-scenes video. That should boost the sales of a game that has already seen over 21 million episodes downloaded, according to Telltale Games. The game will be priced at $30 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and releases on an undisclosed date.
