Mario Kart 8 Animal Crossing DLC Out April 23, 200cc Mode, New Characters and Vehicles - News

Nintendo has announced at their Nintendo Direct earlier today that the Animal Crossing themed DLC for Mario Kart 8 will be released earlier than previously announced, The DLC will now be released on April 23rd, sooner than the previous May release date.
There are several new characters, vehicles and a new map available in the DLC. The new characters are Villager, Isabelle and Dry Bowser. The new vehicles are the City Tripper, Streetle, Crossing and Bell Cups. The Animal Crossing themed track will be playable in four different seasons - Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Nintendo also announced there is a new difficulty mode that will be released at the same time as the DLC. The 200CC mode will increase the speed of all the vehicles in the game, as well as upping the challenge. There is also a higher tier of karts that will be added.
There is also new Amiibo support that will add in nine new costumes into the game. The new Amiibo figures that are launching soon will be supported.
