Overview
There is one game in the top 40 to be in its final week before launch, Devil May Cry for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As a reminder the Pro data is back up, which means that I am taking requests again for games outside the top 20.
Two games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week, and the top 10 has 100,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week. One game added 20,000 or more, up from none last week and four added 10,000 or more, up from two last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
There is one game in the top 40 to be in its final week before launch, DMC (Devil May Cry) for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 version added 18,191 pre-orders for a grand total of 128,310. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 150,000 to 200,000 units range unit range. Expect the game to sell between 500,000 and 700,000 units lifetime in the US.

The Xbox 360 version added 6,852 pre-orders for a grand total of 92,639. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 140,000 to 180,000 units range unit range. Expect the game to sell between 500,000 and 700,000 units lifetime in the US.

Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending January 19
Anarchy Reigns (X360) sales are expected to drop to around 20,000 units in its second week on sale. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 14,000 units in its second week.
Overall hardware sales are expected to decrease by around 5 percent.
Other Hot Games – In Order of Release
God of War: Ascension (PS3) added 7,063 pre-orders, down from 4,149 last week, for a total of 156,420. The game has fallen 118,000 pre-orders behind God of War III. The game is nine weeks away from launch in the USA, March 12, 2013.
Gears of War: Judgment (X360) added 3,058 pre-orders, up from 2,231 last week, for a total of 68,677. The game has fallen 864,000 pre-orders behind Gears of War III. The game is 10 weeks away from launch in the USA, March 12, 2013.
Bioshock Infinite (X360) added 5,988 pre-orders, up from 4,336 last week, for a total of 257,994. Bioshock Infinite (PS3) added 3,726 pre-orders, up from 2,753 last week, for a total of 158,437. The game is 11 weeks away from launch in the USA, March 26, 2013.
Notable mentions: StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm (PC) added 7,487 pre-orders for a total of 161,256. Ninokuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joou (PS3) added 11,874 pre-orders for a total of 92,217. Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS) added 22,409 pre-orders for a total of 57,344.
Requests: Rayman Legends (WiiU) added 781 pre-orders for a total of 18,893. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PSV) added 859 pre-orders for a total of 9,285. Killzone: Mercenary (PSV) added 30 pre-orders for a total of 907.
