The charts include comparisons between the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, as well as with older platforms. This monthly series compares the aligned Europe sales of the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch 1.
The Nintendo Switch 2 launched in June 2025 in Europe and the Nintendo Switch launched in March 2017. This does mean the holiday periods for the two consoles do not lineup.

July 2026 is the 14th month that the Nintendo Switch 2 has been available for in Europe. During the latest month, the Switch 2 has outsold the Switch 1 by 10,105 units when you align the launches.
In the last 12 months, the Switch 2 has outsold the Switch 1 by 0.38 million units. The Switch 2 is ahead of the Switch 1 by 0.96 million units.
The 14th month for the Switch 2 is July 2026, while for the Switch 1 it is April 2018. The Switch 2 has sold 5.14 million units, while the Switch 1 sold 4.17 million units during the same timeframe.
The Nintendo Switch 1 sold 39.91 million units to date. The Switch 2 is currently 34.77 million units behind the lifetime sales of the Switch 1.

You demanded a source for a casual social media observation only to turn around and speak for an entire platform yourself while treating your own unbacked take about the second year as undisputed fact. You cannot demand hard evidence for someone else's informal observation while simultaneously pushing your own sweeping generalizations without a shred of proof.
my point is who on twitter said the NS2 is doing bad in Europe compared to the NS1? nobody said that, so why blame twitter for his thinking?
