Please remove that awful card system for this game. Just keep the XCOM style combat and the game will be successful.

Seriously! I was freaking out about the idea of XCOM with a Marvel coat of paint.....and then the card system was announced lol. I have a bad feeling that the game is just too far into development to completely get rid of a core mechanic of the game and overhaul the gameplay.

I would be more than happy to be wrong!

X-Com is cool but there are some serious flaw (not fixed at all by this card system mind you :D).
One thing I hate about X-Com is the ambush mechanics... Why can't I keep anyone "not" attacking stealth instead of having all of them revealed as soon as I take the first offensive action! Maybe they'll gimmi a card for that (just kidding). But overall I think the card system looks interesting; I'm not a huge fan of Marvel/DC/Superhero stuff (don't even know which hero belong to which universe) so I really see this more as a smash-n-up tactical games than a really serious one like X-Com; so card makes sense to me ahah

I don't think they have completely moved on from XCOM as Jake Solomon confirmed back in June that the series will return and plus we have the NVidia leak showing XCOM 3 in that listing as well.

I'm, with you on that. The card system looks cool. I love tactical/strategy games and it is nice when they mix some other concepts together. I did not want just another X-Com with a skin and this looks like it will be really interesting :)

People want rid of the card system? It's what appeals to me. What doesn't is non-Midnight Sons in the Midnight Suns game. Where's Morbius?

I'm guessing they are including well-known Avengers to broaden the appeal and marketability as the Midnight Suns are as well known.

If they are going to delay into 2023 they should probably just drop last gen support. Switch is still current gen for Nintendo so keep that version, but no need to do an Xbox One or PS4 release. There will be north of 30 million PS5s and north of 20 million Xbox Series consoles on the market by the time this game eventually comes out, the industry has to move off the Xbox One and PS4 in 2023. It’s time

I’m not sure about the should but feel that they will anyway.
