
Final Fantasy XI Reboot Cancelled - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 01 April 2021 / 1,533 ViewsNexon has cancelled the MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI Reboot, which was in development for mobile platforms.
Nexon was working with Square Enix on the rebooted game, however, the two companies determined the game did not meet the quality standards that fans of the Final Fantasy series would have expected. The staff working on Final Fantasy XI Reboot have been moved to other projects.
Final Fantasy XI R was announced in March 2015 and was originally going to release in 2016.

Well they have used a lot of time to do nothing.
I was looking forwards to this!.... and it seems like a perfect fit for free-2-play, with tons of nessary items (consumable) and how grooling leveling is, xp boosters and such (would be a sure hit). This is odd.... its a fantastic game, just dated by Playstation 2 levels of graphics, that could use a overhaul.
Hahahahaha there was no development in the 1st place...
I remember playing this game as a kid. It was an interesting take on the MMORPG format. Way to hard to level up though without a group.
