PlayStation Plus Games for April 2019 Announced - News

Sony on the PlayStation Blog have revealed the PlayStation Plus games for April 2019 for the PlayStation 4. As a reminder there are no longer PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita are no longer offered in the PlayStation Plus lineup of games.
The free PlayStation Plus games for the month are:
- Conan Exiles
- The Surge

The Surge looks interesting. Still, ouch. Seeing only 2 games on a single platform vs 6 games across 3 platforms, many of which were also cross buy titles, further increasing their value, is a five knuckle shillelagh to the breadbasket. It sucks, and it always will suck, because the value of the service has been undeniably downgraded. Fingers crossed PS starts offering, maybe, a PSVR title as well.
They have offered PSVR title several times in the past on PS+
I know this Don. I added those titles to my PS+ library when they were offered, but I'm talking about a consistent offering of one PSVR title every month going forward. The smattering of PSVR games they've included with PS+ in the past does nothing to mitigate the permanent loss of PS3 and Vita games.
I agree, but the problem is the small amount of real quality PSVR games that they could offer consistently. But sure thta could end up bringing good number of customer.

If I'm being 100% honest. Agree with Coktoe as well, 2 titles compared to 6 just looks weak, even if sometimes those 6 titles might include a couple of bad ones... if you owned a ps4/3 and Vita you were gonna find something to play in the month, they really need to consider upping the offerings to at least 3 ps4 games imo.
The surge alone makes it worth it.
I'll try The Surge, don't get the other thugh, what type of game is it? Also, they really need to add a small indie game to this, removing the PSV and PS3 was fine but only 2 games seems weak, where's the small indie title to get people hooked on small games and promoter it's DLC?

The Surge is a 2017 game. Conan Exiles came out last year. What's so ancient about that?
Conan - known as Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Cimmerian (from the name of his homeland, Cimmeria) - is a literary character created by Robert E. Howard in a series of stories published in Weird Tales in the 1930s.
I mean.... 1930s, that's pretty ancient when you compare it to games like Street fighter!
Guess I was wrong on the ancient. I had on memory that Conan was much older. But I stand by they are meh offering on a just 2 games gave in the month. Not that last month wasn't worse.
