The first major update to Minecraft on Windows PC in over a year is set to be released next week on Thursday, February 25th, announced Mojang in a blog post.

Yo can try out Minecraft 1.9 right now with the pre-release version. However, Mojang is still performing bug fixes.

Minecraft 1.9 changes the entire combat system, changes the Ender Dragon boss fight, adds new mobs, items, and weapons.
