A silent release. Interesting.
MKV/H264 support has been asked for years. Finally !
Weird there is no flac support though.
Just keeps getting better. This is awesome news!
Can I have .srt subtitles with that? My parents don't understand english.
Same here. With .srt playback it would rule the mortal world
Just hardcode the subtitles.

Been waiting for this!!! My PS3 housed over 200 movies in the Videos tab. Hope this means my PS4 can now take over those duties!! With my PS Now Subscription I've all but retired good ole '3'
This is definitely a great addition. At first I thought it was only for audio, but I'm really glad video is also supported, especially MKV.
Wow... they really want to get a coffin for the ps3. Assuming this works as the ps3 media player/server, its awesome news.
honestly since this feature was missing at launch I plugged in a usb into my tv and it supports all this. No need to power two devices so save on electricity cost. I would think most TVs would do the same if purchased in the last 3 years.
Now allow the PS3 remotes to work.
PS3 did it on release...
No flac support makes this update pretty much useless
you are not the center of the world. What is useless to you, is useful to others.
